Doodraw started on iPhone, iPad and Android, and now has a real Windows desktop app too: the same drawing-that-animates-itself engine, running on your computer, with the same brushes, layers and export formats. Here is what is actually in it and how to get it.

What Doodraw for Windows is

Doodraw for Windows is an installer for 64-bit Windows, downloaded from doodraw.com/download/windows. It is a separate build from the mobile apps, built to run well on a desktop, but it is not a stripped-down companion app: the core of Doodraw, the brush engine that gives every stroke its hand-drawn wobble the moment you draw it, is the same engine behind the iPhone, iPad and Android versions. Once installed, the app checks for and installs its own updates, so you do not have to redownload the installer for every new version.

What you can do with it

The Windows app carries over the same tools as mobile:

  • Animated brushes with their own speed, jiggle and thickness, 16 free and more in Pro.
  • Layers, with opacity, blend modes, lock and rename.
  • Eraser, lasso, fill bucket and eyedropper, and image import onto its own layer.
  • Export as GIF, Animated PNG, MP4 or still PNG/JPG, up to 1080p, with a free Transparent background toggle for GIF and Animated PNG.
  • Frame by frame with onion skin, and progressive drawing export (a timelapse-style “drawn live” video) as Doodraw Pro features.

Draw with a mouse, a trackpad, or any pen tablet Windows already recognizes, such as a Wacom or Huion display or tablet.

How to download it

  1. Go to doodraw.com/download/windows, or open doodraw.com/download and pick the Windows card.
  2. The link always points at the current installer, so you get the latest release automatically.
  3. Run the installer. Once it is open, Doodraw keeps itself updated, so this is normally the only installer you will need.

Doodraw Pro on Windows

Drawing, animating and exporting stay free on Windows, the same as on mobile, with a small “doodraw.com” watermark on free exports. Because there is no Windows app store purchase flow yet, Doodraw Pro on the desktop app is sold directly on this site: open Settings → Pro inside the app, which takes you to a Paddle checkout tied to that install. The plans are the same as everywhere else: monthly, yearly with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Changed computers? Follow Restore a purchase: you send support the email address you used at checkout and we move Pro to the new install.

Pro on Windows is its own purchase, separate from an App Store or Google Play purchase on your phone: the three do not link automatically. If you want Pro on more than one device, write to support@doodraw.com and we can help.

No, not automatically. Pro on iPhone and iPad is an App Store purchase, Pro on Android is a Google Play purchase, and Pro on Windows is a separate Paddle purchase tied to that computer. How do I get Doodraw on a Mac?

There is no separate Mac app yet. On a Mac with Apple silicon, install the iPad version of Doodraw from the Mac App Store; it runs natively.
